A flexible residential pavilion that acts as both a pool house and a guest house.
Informed by the surrounding landscape, this flexible residential pavilion acts as both a pool house and a guesthouse. Concepts of volume, blurred indoor-outdoor transitions, and material simplicity define the structure. A 100-foot long site wall penetrates through the pavilion to support its roof structure and bind it to the landscape. Although its function as a pavilion suggests a protected space, the design seeks to eliminate the boundaries between interior and exterior environments through veils of sheer white curtains and floor-to-ceiling glass doors.
